Our approach is documented and consistent across every property in every council area. Built to withstand the scrutiny that the rates mitigation market is now attracting.
From the moment a unit goes live, the platform maintains a continuous, time-stamped record. No manual logging. No retrospective reconstruction. No gaps.
Every commercial property in England and Wales, fully integrated. Postcode resolution, rateable value tracking, and relief-cycle calculations are handled automatically.
RatingEdge is designed for in-house teams and professional mitigators who want professional-grade tooling without outsourcing their rates strategy — and without handing over control of their client relationships.
Manage relief windows across multiple units and councils from a single dashboard, with continuous evidence maintained automatically for every property.
Quantify and document mitigation outcomes consistently across every property under management, to a standard built to be reviewed.
Run your whole book on one platform while keeping your client relationships your own. Your client list is yours alone.
If you act for clients, who they are and which properties belong to them is the core of your business — not something to hand over to a platform provider. RatingEdge is designed so that your client identities and the link between your clients and their properties are encrypted under a key that only you hold. Our staff see only what is needed to run the rating engine; we cannot browse, export, or data-mine your client book.
We believe in being straight about what this means. The rating engine must read property data to do its job, so we don't claim it is technically impossible for us to ever see a property. What we do guarantee is that we cannot see whose clients they are, or which properties map to which client — and that you can verify that for yourself. Control and transparency, not a promise to be taken on trust.
RatingEdge operates on a deliberate principle: the evidence we produce should exceed the standard that current enforcement requires. The rates mitigation market has entered a period of increasing scrutiny — from councils, tribunals, and the wider property industry. Approaches that relied on minimal occupation evidence are being challenged with greater regularity, and operators using them are increasingly exposed.
Our platform was built with that environment in mind. We do not rely on staged occupation, paper-only arrangements, or token interventions. We document continuous, genuine activity in real properties, and we make that evidence available in a form designed to be reviewed.
Our detailed methodology paper — covering evidentiary standards, audit trail architecture, and comparison with legacy mitigation approaches — is available to qualifying operators on request.
